Joss Whedon gonna shoot somebody. Or, at least he should. BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER is now the latest casualty of TWILIGHT-ized vampire marketing which has already bastardized NEAR DARK, as well as others. I'm not sure if Fox assume that this design will pull in new fans (presumably a demographic not familiar with the film and/or the TV series) or if they think people will mistake it for a new BUFFY film, but either way, it looks really horrid. That all said, it is surprising that Fox have chosen to release this before the (much superior) TV series but we can only hope that they are working on that as well. Those issues aside, blu-ray.com have reported a September 13th release date with no MSRP or special feature information available at this time.
